A Unique Program

Drawing on the principles of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and 21st Century Lean Start-up thinking, the Profitable Conversations program has been designed by an accountant for the accounting/SME market. It is a practical program that has been developed through a process of real-world testing.

Warwick Cavell

Founder | Profitable Conversations

Warwick is a business strategist, facilitator and coach who is passionate about working with firms who are serious about transforming themselves into integrated strategic advisory businesses. 

With over 30 years’ experience as a chartered accountant (FCA), management consultant and certified chair at the Advisory Board Centre, Warwick has worked with clients across professional services, SMEs, local government, not-for-profits and education. 

He started his career with one of the big four accounting firms before moving into his own practice which grew to a three-partner firm. He sold his practice into a mid-tier firm, becoming a partner there. He then established his own management consulting business, Linnergy, where he remains to this day. He holds a Grad. Cert. in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and this has underpinned the development of his Profitable Conversations program. 

With this background Warwick understands the connection between the hard numbers and the soft skills of business.

Warwick is also a Rotarian, President Rotary Central Melbourne 2019-20.

The key principles by which we operate are:

  • The best way to learn is by doing – experiential learning – so we want to get you ‘doing’ asap. The universe rewards action with feedback, so until you act you won’t get the feedback you need to grow your business.

  • We are all about developing capability. It is not simply about doing an assignment and leaving, it is about leaving a legacy that continues long after we leave. And that legacy stems from building capability in the people who work in the organisations we serve.

  • Our approach is facilitative rather than directive. This is the way we go about developing the capability in others. Developing the capability to solve problems and think for oneself.
